Temple Records
Located directly across the street from Reverend Franklin's (father of Aretha Franklin) church on Linwood, this is the business address of a record label responsible for publishing and distribution of many of Detroit's top gospel and R&B recordings. But mostly, this location is famous for being the home of Dave Hamilton, lead guitar player for both Barry Gordy and Jackie Wilson. It was here that Hamilton launched his famous Temple Records label. Hamilton is well known for his contributions to many of Marvin Gaye's tracks including "My Girl" and "Heatwave". The basement of this home used to be the location of the actual recording studio and mixing suite.
